Armbraces
So, i was sitting in Kamandan power-trading today wen something caught my eye. "W T S Armbrace 100k+15ecto." That is just crazy. It takes a long time to farm an armbrace and theyre worth 175k? They have been going down for awhile now but where is the breaking point. There has to be a point where it's just not worth it. How low do you think it can go? Should Anet intervene in the economy?

I would redirect you to any post involving duping, but I don't think I need to say anything aside from that to get my thoughts across on this.

If I ever manage to save up that much money, I'll let you know.
Even for such a high end item, that price is fine. Maybe if it were 10k or something, but it is not.

You know, once they nerf Ursangay, i mean ursanway, the economy will go back up.... but until then, all we have to do is wait...

The price is going to continue dropping because of ursan. Seeing as you can clear DoA with dumb monks and bad ursans, the price isn't going to rise any time soon.

No, it just means that PvE will take 12 minutes again versus 10 with UB. I don't think anyone realizes that PvE was already /Easy Button before UB. UB just made it /A litte Easier Button.

100k + 15? Thats still really expensive, I can't affroed that...
Remember the average guild wars player has less then 20k cash or something like that.

That's the point it's supposed to be for the people that can afford it/people that work at it and the price is not reflecting the effort taken to farm it.

The fact that it's still expensive has nothing to do with the situation. Before ursan, they were worth about 100k+50e and slowly decreasing in price. Since ursan, it's been dropping much faster then it would have been without ursan.

This is GW Guru, most of us are title wores, cash sluts, elitist pricks, or a combination of the three. A majority of us are not the weekend gamer.
Anways, that statistic was absurdly askew, not factoring multiple/inactive accounts and plenty of other things. It's safe to say you can get by in GW with only 20k, but that you are infact poor.

Indeed, Ursan is really driving the price down..
And Armbraces aren't really for the people who don't wanna earn them.. so the fact that no everybody can afford them is not the issue. I wanna see Ursan nerfed and the market returning to a more "normal" (if it ever had been) state.

Armbraces and tormented weapons were supposed to be hard to obtain, they were supposed to show some achievement. They were supposed to be high-end items. Now, they're nothing special because they're easily obtainable. For people who are too lazy/bad/can't for whatever reason to complete DoA, and too poor to afford the armbrace/tormented item, the price drop is good. For the people who got tormented weapons for e-peen (what all expensive items in PvE are for) and self-achievement, it's bad.

It won't be special when its 25k and everyone has a shield. then what makes you look "rich" when everyone has everything?

The main reason people get expensive items in GW do it for some sort of achievement. If you have 15k armor or expensive weapons, you're insulting yourself.

The irony is you're posting on a fansite forum.

KTHX I'm in all honors classes. I'm number 10 in a class of 300 and I've lettered in 2 sports. I have achieved something real might as well do the same thing only this time in a video game.
P.S. Don't set yourself to up to get flamed.

In a world where everyone partys with heros and henchies anyway what does it matter if we all had shields we like to look at? not like we really form up for missions anymore anyway. lol
Here come all the ursan nerf people.. sigh.
Well I say leave ursan the way it is. Only now is it truely fun and insanely less frustration to do elite missions, and I've done them both ways.
